Happy Resurrection Sunday

1. Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior,
waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!

Refrain:
Up from the grave he arose;
with a mighty triumph o'er his foes;
he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

2. Vainly they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior,
vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!
(Refrain)

3. Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior;
he tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!
(Refrain)

The Streetmeeting 3 Years Ago

You can read our story <here> but today was special to us. On my churches first streetmeeting, of the year 2010, I saw Patrick for the first time.....today he stood there again holding that same banner. This time I was smiling at him and took a picture...last time I tried to see the "new guy" but not have eye contact. ☺

Does your church go on the street and pass out tracks? Or how do you guys do it?

Goals 2013 / Monthly Update March

read a book every month-I finished How To Teach Elementary School Science for school. It is a really good Education book!! I also started Shadow of the Almighty and am half way through....really inspiring. I read the book A Lady in Defiance....it was OK. You can live without reading it. The latest book I is called Dressing Your Truth....I need to tell you about that!!!
create something once a month (digital, crafting, sewing)- I had to fix my Easter dress....which you'll see more of next week. I created a birthday card, redesigned the blog....decorated a birthday cake, made some science projects....I think that's all.

1 guest post/month- I had quite a few this month AND I got to guest post!!!
→1 vlog/ month- "Near My God to Thee on the Piano"

practice one song a month together- We're doing pretty bad....but we sometimes do just sit down at the piano and sing a song or two together...sweet times
continue monthly date night - Bowling with my Honey ☺

And I created another free desktop background for April....enjoy.

A Cold Trip on the Königstuhl

Today on our day off we decided to take a little trip. Boy, was it cold but we had fun. Now the house is so quite as we all are just hanging out and relaxing. Our little trip took us up the mountain here in Heidelberg called Königstuhl (Kings Throne).

I will let the pictures tell the story.

Doing anything special over the Easter Holidays...or spring break?

I'm Afraid I'll.....

 Be Cold-

Summer like winter I am afraid I'll be cold. I am always checking what the weather will be like and ask my family who was outside before me what it's like outside. Because of this fear I'm always wearing to much. In the winter months you'll find me wearing tights, leggings, a long sleeved shirt, a sweater, my lamb's wool jacket, my thick scarf around my neck and my hat pulled tightly over my ears....some days that is quite necessary but on other days I look like a Eskimo out of place.

In the Summer I am always bringing a light sweater. Just a little breeze and I'm wearing socks and a few more layers of clothing....only to end up being miserable and hot.

I'm better safe than sorry.

Have To Go To The Bathroom-

I hear the words "We have to go now!" and get this feeling....I HAVE to go before I leave. What if I have to go when we're on the way? So no matter if I just went a little while ago I have to go before I leave.

Or when I go to bed. Its the last thing I have to do.....if I do watch a movie or work on the blog for awhile....I have to go back downstairs and go one last time before I slip under the covers.

Be Locked Out of The House-

Almost every time I round the last corner after walking the dog this big butterfly starts flying summer saults......"Did I forget my keys?" I have never forgotten them yet and still have this unsettling feeling over being locked out of the house.

Do you have weird fears? What are yours?

Little Dorrit and North & South

So last week, while looking for Science projects on youtube I saw this "hour" movie called Little Dorrit. I looked it up to see if it was worth looking at....sounded interesting. Friday, while just hanging out downstairs I decided to watch it....it ended....well not really....the movie did but the story didn't....boy was I surprised that there were 16 episodes!!!

Little Dorrit

Authur Clennam.....a man of position and integrity. He faces his problems like a man and does not esteem himself above others but finds friends even in low society. A true hero.
